Amy Go Photo bio picture

She keeps going...and going...and going...

Hi there!  I'm  your friendly neighborhood photographer, Amy GO Wilson. I live and work in Overland Park, Kansas...or anywhere else I happen to be.  I'm the mother of three wild hooligans and the wife of an unrepentant computer genius (who makes a fabulous technical assistant!  I love my geek!).  On any given day I have way too much to do, and I love every minute of it.  See, I have trouble sitting still.  Boredom is a bad word.  I like my days packed with activity and good times - the busier, the better. I like to go, go, go!  Having three boys in the house satisfies that requirement, for sure.  Sometimes I feel like I'm in the middle of a carnival-style tornado, and while I'm having a ball, I'm also hanging on for dear life!  They're growing so fast, and there's so much to do...how will I ever enjoy it all?

And that is exactly why I love photography.  In the words of the inimitable Ferris Bueller, 'Life moves pretty fast.  If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you might miss it.'  That's what photography does for me...it lets me stop time and look around.  It allows me to catch a moment as it's speeding by and keep it forever, cutting through the chaos and recording the joy.  Who wouldn't want a little of that?

So, I love to take pictures.  And I love to make new friends.  And that's where you come in.  What moment would you like to catch?  Where can I meet you today?  You pick the spot, the style, the event...you call all the shots!  And then I take them.  Sounds fun, right?  You know it!  C'mon, let's GO!

Lovely Ladies

I had the best time on this shoot!  Of course, that may be because it was so easy – I mean, just look at what I had to work with.  Who could take a bad picture of such spectacularly gorgeous women?  Can you say “Modeling Contract?”  I think you can! But believe it or not...

Two Cute

These little ladies were busier than me, and y’all, that is saying something.  I thought my kids were a handful, but they’re nothing compared to twins.  Still, double the work also means double the fun, and I had an absolute ball watching them explore! My little blonde friend was curious about my camera and so...

It’s Good to be the Queen

I spent Sunday afternoon with one of my favorite families.  We explored Antioch Park and ran out of daylight before we ran out of shooting spots, which is a nice problem to have!  They were great sports and willingly braved leaf piles, snakes, and inconsiderate dog owners (bag your pets’ waste, people, I’m just sayin’…)...
